Whats happening with my account

Sorry about if i am posting in the wrong section.

I have a current account with Barclays since august 2008 and salary goes straight into my account which is more then £1000 each month but i earns more then 27k a year.

I never had any overdraft or any credit card with this account from barclays, i went to discuss this matter and personal banker advice me that my account seems to be fine as i am putting money into my account each month.

Other hand i have one more account with hsbc and they gave me credit card at the same time even though i dont run my hsbc account as i do with barclays.

Somebody advice me to upgrade one of the Barclays monthly fee account then they start giving some facilities.


Looking forward to take your expert advice because i am thinking to take personal loan in near future.

I never applied for the barclays overdraft but i did apply for the credit card about 6 months ago and refused straight way on the internet.

But once again i applied yesterday and message came on the screen we will contact you within 5 working days if your application get successful.

All i mean to say that i never got any facilities from barclays in the form of overdraft, credit card or loan offer etc.
