Beko Customer service

We purchased a Beko Dishwasher from Argos (the first dishwasher we've ever owned) about 3 months ago. The dishwasher was duly installed and has worked properly twice since.
Every time the dishwasher was turned on it wouldn't empty, didn't clean the dishes when it did empty and generally was as much use as a big white lump of metal in the corner of the utility room.
My wife contacted argos to complain about the dishwasher and was told to contact Beko customer services.
Beko customer services were reasonably helpful at this point and arranged for a local service engineer to come and investigate the problem.
Local service engineer arrived and checked the machine out. He couldn't positivley identify the problem with the machine and left it partly stripped to contact Beko service department for some more information. This was 4 weeks ago. I contacted the service engineer last week to try and find out what the problem was to be informed that he was awaiting parts from Beko to repair the machine.
I took it upon myself to e-mail Beko Customer service to try and find out why it was taking so long and what their intentions were as to the way forward last Monday and as yet have still not had a reply.
I'm starting to get rather frustrated really having shelled out nearly 200pounds for a machine that was never needed in the past and so far hasn't really changed my opinions of dishwashers as a whole...
sorry for my first post to be a rant but i had to vent somewhere

I made the mistake of purchasing a Beko washing machine from Currys a couple of years ago.
Worked a couple of times and then would not empty.
Your comment is spot on "as much use as a big white lump of metal in the corner of the utility room."
Called Curry's to come and pick it up.
I needed to get a reference from Beko as it was still within warranty.
My advice is not to touch anything with BEKO on the front. Have Argos come and pick it up and purchase a Bosh or similar for a little extra.
Good Luck0 -
Your contract was formed with Argos, not Beko. Get onto Argos and tell them what is going on and ask them to collect the machine as it is not fit for purpose, and refund your money.
We have a Beko freezer which so far we have been happy with performance wise (the shelf covers broke within a week) so here's hoping we don't have any problems although it is past the manufacturers guarantee and insured elsewhere so hopefully we will be okay when it breaks down.0 -
With big appliances it seems to be a nightmare when they break as they get passed between the retailer and manufacturer.
We have a Hotpoint dishwasher (had it 2 years) and earlier this year it broke down and was smelling of smoke. As Hotpoint have a 5 years parts guarantee we went through them directly. They sent someone out who was next to useless and just tapped away at his computer and ordered a load of parts - without examining the dishwasher! We waited and waited and waited for the parts to come and each time we rang up they said that they were still waiting on one part and wouldnt come out til they were all in. They also said after 6 weeks if it still wasnt fixed that they would replace the machine. When it came to 6 weeks we rang them and they denied this and said we couldnt and would have to wait for the parts. We then rang a small local firm who came out and within 7 days of us contacting them had fixed the machine - and it wasnt the part that Hotpoint were making us wait for! We did have to pay for this as we got someone not Hotpoint etc but in the end it was worth it to have it fixed again - having a family of 4 adults living in the house it was great to have it back! We did ask Hotpoint to reimburse us - but they declined!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
Thanks for all the replies chaps I'll get the missus to contact argos again on monday.0

I'd never buy Beko again. Bought a Freezer from them. Packed up after 1 year. To be fair they did fix it as it was just out of warranty but its packed up again with the same problem  I expect a freezer to last longer than just over 2 years :mad:0

Mine lasted just over a year too but I just binned it. Should have complained0 -
My 2 month old Beko dishwasher packed up on Sunday. Engineer came out today and diagnosed a programming problem. He is going to order a new part and it should take 7 - 10 days. I am fit to be tied! I had to arrange to be at home for the engineer and I was so hoping it was actually going to be repaired today. I am now going to have to put up with no dishwasher and arrange another day to be in for the engineer when the part arrives. Not a happy bunny!0

I bought a BEKO fridge freezer in February, 3 days ago the freezer packed up and defrosted everything, then a day later the fridge stoped working.
I have lost £50 worth of food as I had just been shopping. There's no money left to buy more.
I ranfg BEKO and told them what had happened and that it was making a gurgling noise. and an engineer came out today. He listened to it for a minute and said it needed re gassing. Called for an appointment and I now have to wait for them to contact me to make another appointment for the regassing. By which time I will have been without a fridge for about a week.
I am gutted.
I will never ever buy BEKO again.0 -
