Need advice about blinds/curtains for kitchen please.

Hi
In my kitchen, I have a patio door 6ft wide and 7ft 2" tall and 1 large window above my sink. there's also a small window. The door and windows are old but serviceable. I've had venetian blinds on them for 9yrs but they are now revolting.

I would like to have something covering the windows and door that would keep some heat in and is easily cleaned.

Curtains - on the window above the sink and on the patio door, they would cause problems as there isn't room for them to hang outside the 'reveal' because of walls/units.

Roller blinds - not machine washable (that I can find)
I don't like vertical blinds

Roman blinds - I like these but the width of the window/patio door is too big? Is there a way of fixing them with something stronger than velcro? Can they be dismantled, washed and rehung?I can sew if I've got a clear set of instructions.

Please does anyone have any ideas/experience?
Thanks
