I regularly book Premier Inns for work reasons. Don't need anything fancier as it's just me, and all I need is a bed and a bathroom. Been more than happy as I can cancel up to 1300 on the booked day if my plans change, which they often do, and the hotels themselves always appear clean and tidy. I used to use Travelodge but just like Ryanair they are not very flexible if your plans suddenly change, and their hotels always seem tired and jaded. Plus Premier always have a decent restaurant nearby.
I need a room for Sunday 06/03. No problem go on their website and the room can be booked for £39 but I will lose the cost if I should cancel. Not a problem as work will pay. Bargain. Except they charge a £2 CC fee. !!!!!!? I go back onto their website and look at booking the same room type, same hotel, same date but full price but I can cancel up until 1300. No booking fee. I know £2 isn't a big deal but it's the principle. Especially as I am posting on MSE.
Not a big gripe in the scheme of things but still sneaky...:rotfl:
