Train to London

Hi

I am looking for the cheapest way to London and back from Stockport for the day on the weds 2nd march 2011. I need to be there for 2pm ish and back from 7/8pm.

The cheapest I can see is £23.50 on the train each way, can anyone improve on that?

I couldn't see anything that cheap. If you can still see it, I'd snap it up quickly, as train fares only go up!

Try a day return - almost bound to be cheaper than 2 singles to London.

You could use London Midland's Great Escape promotion.

£10 return from Crewe to Euston (plus a £5 supplement to leave Euston in the evening peak if needed).

Add an Anytime Day Return from Stockport to Crewe at £8.70 (on Virgin Trains only).

So that's £18.70 (or perhaps £23.70) total return.
