Folks,
I keep getting this message when I try and use anything which is plugged into to a usb port
"One of the USB devices attached to this computer had malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem click this message"
But when I click the message none of the options, ie updating the drivers, seems to change anything.
Ive tried using both my front and back usb ports and different items, ie psp, printer etc etc and still no joy.
So has anyone got and suggestions.
Thanks for now

Could it be the appliance that you are trying to plug in that is wrong? I had the same message a while back with Tesco Internet Phones. I initially thought it was the phone, but after returning it to Tesco and getting a new one no less than 3 times, I assumed it was my PC or USB Port that was wrong.
I tried everything to resolve the problem, eg changing settings in Device Managers, re-installing drivers, etc. After 2 days and hours of trying everything under the sun, including phoning costly helplines, I discovered the whole batch of phones at my Tesco store were 'duds'!!
Got one from another store and it worked beautifully.0 -
Alas it cant be that, ive tried my psp, printer, external hard drive and all of them are experiencing the same problem.
