I remember reading some not so complimentary posts about DS on another forum a while back..can't remember what is was about though, maybe non payment of fees?

Have been checking out merchandising companies on line and have come across this company who seems to have regular work all over the country. Have not worked for them, and do not get a referral fee, but it could be profitable for people in the right area. I spoke to a lovely lady this morning who confirmed that they are looking for people who can work a certain number of hours on set days, so this isn't for me.

Was this the company that Becles wasn't very happy with. Think it was December time. I seem to remember poor rates of pay being mentioned along with wanting you to keep days free in case they get work?

    Well remembered!

I applied and got the job but turned it down. It was min wage and no travel time or mileage unless you travel out of your home area. Every day is a normal working day, so no extra for doing bank hols etc., and you're expected to work them if it's your normal working day.

They did want me to book days in my diary just for them. At short notice I'd be told if I was needed all day or just for an hour or so.

The stuff they merchandise are quite heavy items, so it's hard work pulling the cages out of the stock room and loading the stock onto shelves. I've done it before for another company, and you do need to be fairly fit and will be exhausted after a long shift.

Decided it wasn't worth it for me.
Here I go again on my own....

I am definately not normal !!! lol

There was one area which is around 10 minutes away from me.

Never mind eh. I am not peeved honest lol

You're not missing a lot. I've done 2 piddly jobs for them since November. I keep seeing alerts on the thread but of course I'm still Bronze level so cant see the jobs and then when they do appear there are never any in my area. How people are meant to get OFF Bronze to higher levels when there are no jobs visible UNTIL they are at a higher level heaven only knows ............

I know what you mean. In my case: 2 cancellations, 2 overnight stays and a place that needed shopped about 10 times in the same month, on a 3 month rotation. Silver hasn't looked any better thus far.

On another note, gap are giving me gyp with the stupid coffee queries. I've answered everything with (answer) as per my report, or as per instructions. *hits head on desk*
