Anyone done any jobs for Blue Apple? Have one on Sunday - was emailed about it a few days ago but waited for the fee to go up :) And they pay mileage which is nice :)

I've done quite a few jobs for them. always paid on time and nice people to work for.

RE have had the same pub job come up on my area again! last time it kept appearing and so they put a fee on it as well as a reimbursment but now it's back again with no fee! not going to take it, not going to a pub that doesn't sell food, it'snot worth my while at all. Also think it's a bit cheeky that it is back up again minus the fee.

PS. I am loving RE now. Just done a sports health shop and got some protein shake more or less free with the reimbursement and the discount. Did 2 x posh mens clothes shops last week with good juicy reimbursements. I'm actually liking them now. As for ESA, let's not go there, fees keep dropping, scenarios get more and more stupid. Bring back GAPbuster!

Does anyone have the address that health shop receipts have to be sent off to? I can't remember where I wrote it down? Please can someone pm me?

I have had no problems with RE so far and done most of my jobs for them, I just wish more would come up!

  • Am loving the email i've just received from E 'egg' A....cannot wait until i'm allowed to go on a waiting list for when I 'really want to do an assignement in my area that has been snapped up by another shopper'. Hmmm, I trhink not, with all the lowered fees and no reimersment I don't want ANY of their shops at the moment, let alone be desperate enough to go on the 'waiting list':rotfl:

PS it wrong to be ecited that I got a 10/10 from Bare:rotfl:Sometimes i'm like a kid whos done well on a spelling test (except that NEVER happened!)

I've been MSing for about 4 months now and I have to say that they have gotten a lot better since the beginning of Feb - less queries, etc.

Yes the fees are not the greatest but if its something that you are going to do anyway, which there is a good chance of since a lot of their stuff is high street or food based, then you essentially get that for free. I went out for dinner on Sat night on them - not too difiicult a report, no queries and I only went £2 over the reimbursement cos we got extra stuff!

This was the mistake I made when I first started mystery shopping. It was only when someone else posted about how they had stopped mystery shopping and noticed that they did not seem to be worse off that I made a decision. I decided to keep separate my own shopping and mystery shopping. I do this job to earn money and pay my mortgage and unfortunately, I can't pay my bills in sportswear.

The other thing is tax. I know someone who was investigated and subsequently taxed on all her reimbursements. She tried to argue that the reimbursements were necessary to do the job, therefore they were not taxable. However, this argument was not accepted because she also did jobs where there was no fee. In the end they charged her tax based on a second hand value of the goods (basically half the price she paid).

For this reason I very rarely take reimbursement only jobs as this is saying to the tax office that the reimbursements are valuable to you and as such as taxable.
