What company? What sort of job? With some companies you might be ok witgh just the card receipt, others you wont

Something similar happened to me, albeit on R.E. where my receipt wasn't right. I just did the report anyway, and made a note in there about the receipt. It was fine. Perhaps you could do something similar.

i would just submit it with the receipt you got and explain in one of the boxes. they might accept it so if its not a long report not much (extra) to loose

Question for the Crisp Photo experts

I have just done a set tonight, but one photo is totally blurred.

I can easily go back and get another one as the shop is local but do I need to redo them all or can I upload what I have at the moment and then just upload the final one when I redo it tomorrow?

I would just take the one that is blurry and upload them altogether tomorrow. Alternatively, you could upload but don't press submit. Once you hit submit you can't add anymore photos.

The cashier only gave me debit card voucher back with my card, I think he forgot as another member of staff changed places with him whilst serving me and I didn't notice he only handed over the one slip.

Submit the card receipt (and explain in the comments box). The worst that can happen is that you won't get paid.

Jen, have you had your head in the sand??? RE have been asking us auditors about video capability for years? Preumably you have also missed RE's questions about tablet pc ownership???

Virtually every company I work for has asked me if I have video MS capability. I do not. But I have told every company that I am willing to purchase equipment and undertake training if they are willing to provide a subsidy. Several companies have expressed interest in my offer (I have a good reputation for reliability, and many companies view my written reports as exemplary). Iinterestingly, many companies view video MS as an adjunct to (rather that as a substitute for) report-based MS. These companies will not be interested in video MS-ers who are unable to provide coherent and comprehensive written reports as well.

Really, there is no substitute for the written word: senior managers have time to read logical, written summaries of visits (without spelling and grammatical errors), but they have no time to view entire videos of visits (except in extremis, and it is only written reports that provide the alert to this situation). Long live written reports!

I think video will become more and more common. It only takes a short video to capture the attitude of the staff in a shop and there is no hiding place for the shopper. I write good reports but the video is so much more detailed and picks up details I miss. Even writing written reports with the aid of the video footage results in a better end product.

I agree, Yonk. The video may be wonderful, but it needs the written commentary. If the written commentary was not needed, us MS-ers would be redundant.

Incidentally, so many CCTV installations can now pick up audio - many of my written MS visits are now available with digital video/audio that was not down to me! I do get to see, very occasionally, some of the video records of my MS visits. I pat myself on the back when I see these: my written reporting is generally 100% accurate. I also pretend that it isn't me that I'm hearing/seeing!!!
