I don't see why BARE can't pay pounds. They are a worldwide company and im guessing their US counterparts get paid in Dollars?
Cos the Europe office is on the mainland and they do all their other payments in euros.
I'm also getting paid for some proofreading in euro and it's a pain.0 -
Nationwide used to be great but they've started cherry picking and profit hunting by bringing all sorts of charges in.
Yeh, my OH is with them and then started charging fees for overseas payments just before our last holiday! I ended up getting a halifax credit card which was fee free.
Not got much on at the moment, but I did get accepted onto the census for 4 weeks work in May so MSing will take a back seat.0 -
Tns assignment for homes
I find this a very odd assignment to do.I got an email two days ago to say I had to write my report within 24 hours. But I only did my call on Thursday, and I was waiting to receive my post from them.So I wrote Tns an email saying that I had the appointment on Monday and then I have to wait for a follow up call up to two days later.I received an email last night saying that my assignment has been deallocated due to non submission:eek:.I'm not really sure what I should do as my appointment is tomorrow morning at 10!Should I still do it?
Anyone have any ideas please?:(half scottish half italian :100%moneysaver0 -
i applied for a nationwide account to use on hol when it was free and was so annoyed they changed it! i can understand everyone opened it for this reason and they probv didnt make any money but they should have introduced a req such as salary and carried it on. dont want crappy insurance! plus guy told me it was £1 to withdraw abroad using the card (after it was not free) but i was charged £4+ per transaction! i noticed that they have a req that you need to pay in a certain amount, i think its £750 or something. i certainly dont do that but supose they are not getting rod of ppl like me yet!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0

No, although you may be hit by cross border fees by Paypal, and the Paypal exchange rates are often rubbish.
"If your transaction involves a currency conversion, it will be completed at a retail exchange rate determined by PayPal. This rate includes a 2.5% spread above the wholesale exchange rate at which PayPal obtains foreign currency.
A cross-border fee of 0.5% may apply. This fee is waived for UK sellers who are registered with PayPal in a European Union country and who receive payments in Euros from other EU countries"0 -
B0ll0cks!!
Just accidently clicked that I don't like eating fast food on Gap, so now can search for any Burgers or Chicken.
I know they are only little, low paid jobs, but they are good little fillers when I'm out and about, and I don't mind a chicken for lunch at work every few weeks, and like their take out bucket jobs.
Will email them on the email address they sent me the other day, which is apparently 'the one they read', but no holding my breath here!! If no reply, will phone them (insert dramatic music here)!! If the sacking because of phone rumour is true then I will find out, and not too fussed as they are the only jobs I do for them.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
I note React have dropped monochrome fees by 16%. Add that to list of 'not worth it any more' companies for me.
Cheesy peeps, I took this up to supplement my start-up income, and I'm really going to have to find something else as well the way fees are going. Suggestions welcomed!0
