Reclaiming charges got me out of debt

I suffered serious debt, which was a combination of several genuine unfortunate circumstances. Most of my spiraling debts were due to the charges of 6 major credit cards and 2 high street banks. I was on my !!!! and they didn't give.
Eventually I had no choice but to start an IVA agreement. (which is the pits) My debts were reduced to a manageable amount with one affordable payment, (but my credit history will be damaged forever.) I was so obsessed by debt that i decided to study it. I found out about reclaiming charges on one of my courses and after 8 months I managed to claim back enough charges to equal my IVA, I banked the money in a high interest account and paid my IVA via direct debit.... this means that although i still have 3 years to go on my IVA I never have to worry about paying it out of my wages. I felt proud, and although it seems unfair on the lenders, when i lost everything - which can happen to any of us, they did nothing to help which was there choice............. so fick em !!

Seems to me a bit unbelievable as well. OP has managed to run eight accounts into the ground through a “combination of several genuine unfortunate circumstances”. Must have been some circumstances, as six credit cards would have had a nice combined limit.
Then our clever OP gets all of them to agree to an IVA, and furthermore they all pay out banking charges in cash or by cheque (they do not credit it to the respective accounts). So the OP puts the dosh into a high interest account and they all pay themselves. Ha, ha!
Isn’t our OP a clever chap/esse! Pigs will fly.0
