How do we arrange a private Drs examination?

They did a webcam consultation and I had a private prescription by post the next morning. I found them by an interent search after being told I had a 10 day wait to see my GP because I refused to claim it was an emergency. I think that "emergency" means life or death not discomfort but the receptionist told me that if I told her it was urgent she would fit me in.

Thank you everyone. I am now more able to build up a picture of what we should be aiming for ....It didn't even occure to me to find a consultant / GP that specialised in the elderly!!
Mum has lots of 'conditions' that require visiting different clinics. There is no one that is seeing her as a whole person.
I feel desperately sad for the people that don't have anyone to look out for them. I know that mum would have been allowed to slip away had we not fussed and demanded attention.
Mum deserves better than what she's getting. She has lost faith in her own GP and hopes, I think, that by paying for a consultation, she will get someone to listen to her and a thorough examination.
