Good morning all...
My dates fit into this situation perfectly ....£213k Mortgage Jan 07 fixed and ended Dec 08 been on SVR ever since...:j:beer:
I decided to call the Mortgage Helpdesk and asked the qusetion "im a current customer and fall into the dates, is it the case that overpayments will only be refunded to closed accounts? otherwise the goodwill compensation will be applied to the mortgage loan or pay off arrears" he said "yes Halifax will not be producing cheques for goodwill payments where we the customer has overpaid and is still with Halifax".
I said "so if i changed my mortgage now and closed my account with you I would be offered a cheque" and the answer is of course yes.... provided I full into the dates of the mortgage offer...
