Swift cover car insurance-warning

Thanks for the tip, good advice, but I never use " budget " insurers.
False economy.;)
Great advice! The old adage you only get what you pay for also applies to insurance as well!
Someone drove into the side of my daughters car (she is with swift) and despite the other party accepting full blame, Swift had booked the car in for repair at a local repairer (certainly one I have never heard of) and requested the £350 excess to boot.
Fortunately, the other parties insurers were excellent (it seems they specialise in motability clients) and they took care of everything and I politely declined Swifts 'assistance'.
I recently paid my home/contents insurance despite cheaper options being available. It is the same every year, they send me a quote, I ring them up and they reduce by premium considerably - a bit of a faff on every year, but I have been with my insurers for over 20 years now and when I have had to claim, they were first class.
If you can afford it - try to avoid skimping on insurance.0 -
