Don't get a book. SEO is always changing. The book will always have static information. Try youtube and some SEO forums.

Seomoz is a good place to start. You'll have to Google it... :)
  • I've got the Yahoo Style Guide - it is brilliant for everything to do with writing for the web and optimizing your words

    I disagree.

  • http://www.seobook.com/ is a good resource, the blog is very interesting.

Don't buy a book, they're often very out of date. If you do still want a book, borrow one from your local library for free !
  • I can recommend this book - it got me through my CIM Diploma in Digital Marketing last year.

The author also runs a web site that carries all the latest developments which you can subscribe to:-
