First direct banking down?

I'm trying to access my FD account online, but it fails to load. I can log in, but it's SOOOO slow and it "times out" before I can do anything.

I just tried to phone FD but I was put on hold dues to unusually large call volumes...something which hardly ever happens to FD.

I guess it's because the internet banking is down.

I'm at work so didn't have time to wait. Has anyone spoken to them and can inform me what is going on?

  • I managed to get through and the woman said that they were having problems and that their IT were looking into it. Then I got cut off!
Would be helpful if they put something on their main website.

    Hi,

I haven't spoken to anyone there, but can at least tell you that I am having the same problems as you.

Well something's gone tits up as LTSB is down, too, and they are a totally unrelated bank.

    HSBC is fine though :o

It's letting me see perfectly clearly that my new employer haven't set up the BACS transfer for my salary in time :(:(

I thought it was just me.
FD wasn't working & neither was Tesco's grocery site.

I'm just speculating, Anonymous (the Hackivists) promised to target the UK if we deported the head of Wikileaks, so it could be them attacking our websites.
