Adobe

Help

My hubby has somehow messed up my laptop and adobe has gone. When I try to download it again I get the following message -
'This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel.'

I can manage to get to the Folder Options in the control panel but what do I do next?

If anyone know can you please tell me what to do as simply as possible.

Not sure at wich point you are getting this message, when you are downloading it, when your are trying to run the setup, or after you have installed it?

    Just thought

If you mean adobe acrobat and are getting the message when you double click on a PDF file to open it. Then the easiest solution is to right click the file, chooose Open With, then Choose file. Find adobe in the list a click on it, be sure to check the "always open with this" check box.

In that case, the file association for executables may be damaged. I suggest you make use of the EXE File Association Fix on this page.

.exe, I think. I am useless at this techie stuff. My hubby is back tomorrow so I think I will have to get him to go through all your messages as I am worried I might be making the problem worse.

Don't give up on me guys and thanks for all your help.
