Interesting, they are near me, apparantly been going 30 years, yet I have never come across them.

    From their website:
"Independent Mortgage Helpline is a trading name of Spaull Limited who are Appointed Representatives of Connells Limited who are authorised by the Financial Services Authority for the advising and recommending of regulated mortgage and general insurance contracts."
    I am a mortgage adviser.

    Based on?

Your comment is a bit unfair, no doubt there are bad advsiors with them, but also some very good conscientious ones as well.

Based on the scope of service available via Connells Group.

I have said in a previous post on Countrywide that advisors should be treated on their individual merits. My advice to AVOID is solely due to the scope of service and nothing to do with the individual advisor the OP is dealing with.

Now, had he said, I'm dealing with John Smith CeMAP, anyone had any dealings I would have said nothing, or given my experiences of said advisor.

I have worked for Countrywide and Connells. Countrywides service proposition is far better than Connells. Having said that the scope of service from an Independent Advisor should be far better than Countrywides.

    That argument is flawed.

Just because one company has a good set of documents detailing their scope of service, that doesn't mean that their adviser will stick to it. I would wager that an adviser from Connells who went to the extent of their service would be much better than a guy from Countrywide who loved using Santander and didn't bother recommending anywhere else, to give a broad example.

So what gives with the Connells Group?

Got to say, my impressions of NHMH aren't good so far.

Surely if anything that enforces my arguement, not flaws it!

I'm saying if you assume the advisor is the same standard wherever then the service provided by Connells will not be as good as is available elsewhere in the broker comunity. This is taking into account the number of lenders available, and the relevant protection and insurance products available.
