When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:j:j:j
Hi everyone
What a fantastic morning avec moi - payday, Friday, and the day I realised I have £230 more for March than I thought :T :T :T
Woo hoo!
Listypops looks like this:

Hi everyone

What a fantastic morning avec moi - payday, Friday, and the day I realised I have £230 more for March than I thought :T :T :T
Woo hoo!
Listypops looks like this:
- Walking
- Croissant treat
- Move the £££ I didn't move yesterday
- Work hard but not too hard and make sure I take a 1hr lunch break!
- Watch the world go buy from 8th floor window with a cuppa when I start getting riled by it all!
- Charge phone for the weekend ahead
- Text mum
- VSP transfer
- PAD to cc
- Checked other cc balance to pay off in full - 12p interest - yoga deposit didn't get taken off until after bill was generated - hence £230 extra this month...
Shall put £100 from this month towards it though.
- In tonight
- Modified what I'm knitting so I can use yarn I've got and not buy more
- Getting excited about the weekend :j
- Update diary thread
- Call e-bay woman who hasn't paid
- Voluntary work??? 2 calls maybe and an email might be all that is needed but not passing on good news so kinda putting it off
- Buy card for friend from cheap card shop and hopefully find nice gift bag/wrapping/box too

Its pay day today, woo hoo! I've just paid my Next bill for the month. A few months ago I would have left that till the second reminder next month! And then got penalised for it. How things have changed!
1. Check bank accounts
2. Take lunch to work
3. Drink Diet coke from multipack special offer from Tesco rather than vending machine
4. Work some overtime if possible
5. Order husbands new shoes through cash back site
6. Not go and "treat myself" as its pay day! No, I'm going to use my money sensibly this month
7. Use work car to get to and from as I am on call
8. Do on call and claim £ for it
It is a day full of possibilities and I guess I had better get to work!
Have a great MSE day everyone! If you knew it then you know it!
