How about Wetherspoons in Chorlton, not bad in there, prices ok too.
The Hare and hounds in altrincham, they do 2 for 1 meals.

The hare and hounds is 2-4-1 chain isn't it? Although we really like the stockport one - the old rectory, we've exhausted the menu these days! hehe.

If you're in the City Centre, check out the Lass O'Gowrie near the BBC - always have lots of proper beers on, and really good traditional pub food from their own kitchens - pies, sausages and so on.. I think they have a sausage of the month??!0
