Advice please
Me and my husband are planning to sell our house for approximately 175k and buy another house for 160k. We plan to put 50k Deposit. So we need 110k mortgage. We plan to refurbished and renovate the new house. Husbands salary is 37k and mine is 23k. My husband has a very good credit rating. I have recently found out I have a default from t mobile. A relative took a phone in my name and failed to pay final bill of £75. I was unaware until I went on credit expert Recently. I have now cleared it, I tried to dispute it with t mobile as I was not sent any letters about the outstanding amount. t mobile refused to remove even though I paid it.
now I am worried this will prevent me getting another mortgage. we have never missed a mortgage payment. do you think we will get a mortgage. please any advise would be welcomed. this is causing me sleepless nights.
thanks

At that Loan to Value there should be options for you.
Do not apply to lenders at random as this could harm credit score.
Speak to your current lender to see what they say and also speak to a Whole of Market broker.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Not sure what the story is here with your relative but T-Mobile cannot simply put a default onto your record without prior written notice to you and having given you the opportunity to pay the sum owed first.
You should get back in touch with them and ask for a copy of the default notice they sent you, without this they should remove it from your files.
Have a search on the forum for others who have had the same problem and see what sort of thing they sent.

The loan to value along with the low default amount will mean you should still have access to high street rates.
Not all lenders will be happy with it, but you will have good options.
As stated above, going direct could mean applying to the wrong lenders, however a good whole of market adviser should find something pretty quicklyI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
