How can i stop my hoover smelling of dog!

  • Stop hoovering the dog!...only joking, cos i threatened to hoover our very hairy and in need of a groom cairn terrier just yesterday;)
    Anyway thanks for posting this as i have a similar problem with the dyson,gonna try the cotton pad in the container tip,not got any zoflora or lavender,so im gonna spray the pad with Febreeze pet.
    Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.
    Week 10,total weightloss is now 13.5lbs Week 11 STSweek 14(I think)..-2, total loss now 1 stone exactly
    GOT TO TARGET..1/2lb under now weigh 10st 6.5(lost 1st 3.5lbs)

  • If your hoover smells of dog and you haven't got a dog then you have a problem
  • Kim n Aggie recommended a cotton wool ball with a few drops of an essential oil on placed inside the dirt chamber.

    Mine smells of hay from the bunnies and cat pee (I have a senile moggy).. :/

    Have you washed filters and hoses in case they are harbouring aroma du mutt?

    My dog pee'ed on my hoover - don't ask, I have no idea how it happened either, she never goes in the house! - and after giving it a good clean with stardrops, I put a couple of tumble dryer sheets in beside the bag (its a Hetty vacuum) and that has really freshened it right up.

    Mine does that whenever he can get to it :mad:

    Since he grabbed the pipe whilst I was hoovering and it sucked his tongue up :eek: Now he exacts revenge whenever he gets the chance......
