what type of cable do i need to connect sony dcr-hc51e camcorder to laptop. purchased a 4pin firewire cable off amazon but laptop comes up with message saying camcorder not connected.have i got the wrong cable any help please :mad:

Well, no one else so:
- WinXP / 7 / MAC what
- you need a six to four pin
- and then you also need [ O/S dependant ] third-party software to capture the video output
Click-ere and select your O/S for a tutorial ... ... and read ere for how others have solved it.
