    Hi Amersall - I have checked and it seems that I actially paid the loan off on 24th July 2007 which is the date stated in their letter...so can I assume that the calculations are correct??

    Hi there, robbedof said if the loan was settled early then that is right.

    Thanks Robbedof, have accepted the goodwill gesture from them. That is 2 offers from Natwest in a week so my bank account is looking £1000 healthier so am really chuffed!!
    Thanks for you help, am happy to send the letters but struggle to work ou the figures!
