Icesave A/C Is there a monthly limit?

I am applying to open an Icesave account and I am wondering whether there is a maximum monthly limit that I can pay in via Direct Debit.

I notice a lot of the regular saving accounts have a limit of £250 a month. Is it the same for Icesave? as I was hoping to be be able to save more than this each month.

I have emailed them, but not had a reply so far. (Quite new to all this) Hopefully an existing account holder can help. Thanks in anticipation.

They have a minimum deposit of £100 but deposits can be made at any time and I don't believe there is an upper limit (beyond what you can actually deposit with them which I believe is in the millions so that's probably not an issue!)

It's not a regular saver so there's no monthly funding requirements or limits. Just that any deposit you do make has to be over £100.

As the previous post states, there is no limit on the amount that you can put in each month. Landsbanki's Icesave account is an Instant Saver, not a regular saver. This means that you can put in more than £250 a month if you want to.

However, if you are considering saving more than £250 a month you might want to set up a Regular Saver account too (Lloyds TSB's is good) and fund it by making monthly payments directly from your new Icesave account.

as the OP seems to have been dealt with :) i'll just tag along for the ride :j

    1. account just opened. do i have to wait until a DD is active on one of the 3 current accounts i have linked to Icesave before i can make my "initial £250.00 deposit"?

    2. can i set up regular DD's from any of the attached current accounts, aswell as being able to make "one off" deposits as and when i like?

    3. does, as a poster above said, each deposit have to be a minimum of £100.00? i was hoping to throw bits of spare cash in as and when i had it(dont want to squander it on takeaways now do I?)

    4. if a DD deposit has to be £100.00 is there access to relevant account details and is a SO from a current account an option for smaller amounts?

    5. i guess all these questions may be answered in Icesave's T&C's, but then, whats MSE for? :p

    6. i just wanted a 6, because i dont like ending things on odd numbers :A

    1. You could have made a cheque deposit or bacs deposit using the details they provided during the application process. If the a/c is now open the direct debits will be set up very soon and this is probably easier.

    2. You can set up one off/weekly/monthly/annual payments into the account.

3,4 minimum to pay in £100, all payments have to be made by direct debit. No standing order payments.

    5 no doubt.

    6 me neither.

Can you set up a weekly deposit? I prefer this option but can only see a daily / monthly transfer availability.
