Advice about mattress order placed, but not yet delivered

Sorry to start yet another thread/post about mattresses, but I'm a little worried.
After lots of research, trying mattresses and reading posts, I ordered a La Romantica Madrid mattress from B***** Beds, about 4 weeks ago. It is due to be delivered next week. To be frank I've been a little unhappy about the length of time taken for delivery, especially since payment was taken from my credit card straight away, but I've bought loads over the internet and have always had a good experience.
I hadn't read any mattress posts since I placed the order, until today, and now I find that people have been banned and / or the mattress has a funny smell.
Is it sensible to let it be delivered or should I cancel and start again (I think my DH would kill me if we don't have a new mattress). I suppose I'm worried that it will have taken about 5 weeks to arrive and if we don't like it will they actually take it back under their satisfaction guarrentee?

I don't understand what you are asking here. Why cancel it just to re order it and start again. Or do you want to cancel from this particular company to buy from a different one? if so then i suppose you could try and cancel under DSR but that seems to be a problem in it's own as far as mattresses go.0

personally, I'd wait and see. No sense worrying about something that might not be a problem.0

If you are worried, contact them. Maybe they are out of stock?
If you paid by credit card you are covered. Check there terms and conditions, if need be print them out and have a good read. If all seems fine do not worry.
On the other hand, have you been reading the other threads about a certain bed company? I used to have a little gripe about a certain person until we exchanged a few PM's. I think he is a fair, honest and decent retailer.
I'm sure the satisfaction guarantee will not kick in until you receive the goods.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -

Yes I think that's what's been concerning me. I'm going to wait and see how it goes.Mortgage [strike]£70,000[/strike] £1:j

If it's the company I think we're talking about, I've had 4 mattresses & a bed from them & am delighted with everything

As we're in Scotland we had to wait till the van was full before delivery, 2-3 weeks I think.
Why don't you give them a call & set your mind at rest? In my experience they're very pleasant & helpful.0 -
I had a Madrid, I found it to be too firm for me, so I switched to the Venice. Yes, the memory foam does smell for a while - leave it unwrapped and standing up as long as you can before making the bed so it can "out-gas".0
