Any suggestions to get TV signal in spare room?

I intend to put a tv in the spare room although I am unable to get reception using an indoor aerial.

We have Virgin cable to the living room, the cable box actually enters the spare room and then is wired down to the living room to the decoder.

Does anyone know if I can get hold of an old (?) Virgin media box, connect it to the outlet in the spare room and view television this way?

Or would I be better climbing up the side of the house to the roof with a coat-hanger?

I'm not keen on paying £5pm for the Virgin multi-room subscription as the tv will only be used on the rare occasions we have guests.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Lester

Is a video sender practical at all?

I am sure someone will be along to let you know if you can split the o/p of the box in some way.

No chance of an easy install of a roof aerial?

Why not just put a new aerial on the roof, or in the loft, and run the aerial cable down to the spare room?
Of course, I may just be talking b****cks!
