Gas smell when moving cooker

I just pulled out my cooker as I am putting laminate floor down. The gas connection was quite short so I couldn't pull it out far. So I tipped it back against the wall at an angle so I could slide the floor underneath. When I did this there was a really strong smell of gas. I had to open all the doors and windows to get rid of it. I turned off at the mains and then put the cooker level again and restored the gas supply. I can't smell anything now. The hose looks in good condition and well fastened. Is tipping the cooker up likely to release some gas or cause something inside to release gas? I am a bit worried now that I might have disturbed something, do I need to get it checked? I am a bit worried as it is gas.

assuming its a hose type connection, you may have just disturbed the bayonet fitting. (male/female socket).
a sharp kink/angle would probably allow some gas to escape.Get some gorm.0 -
