Radio Code

A friend of mine has just had a new battery fiited into his Vauxhall Astra and it has wiped the memory of his car radio code, he has spoken to his dealer but they want £20 to re-programme the radio, is there anyway he can de-code the stereo himself or any free web-sites with any info. Thanks.
I hate migraines.

    Haven't seen a free one - price online depends on the radio make and whether your friend has the serial numbers.
    You can order your own CD to DIY at £4.95 plus P&P but check the site first to make sure the radio model is listed
