AOHELL gone down hill since talk talk took over or carphone wharehouse.0 -
I could never use Outlook Express when I was with AOL.
I think AOL must put something on that conflicts with it. I never had a problem with them, but it's almost impossible to uninstall it if you change to another ISP - bits of it cling to everything.

I had exactly the same problems as above, and when I tried to get out of the 12 month contract as they were not providing me with the service I was paying for it was a total nightmare, I was passed from pillar to post and back again, eventually after months of calling them to get the technical team to put a note on my account to say they couldn't fix the problem, they did agree to end my contract early, it cost me a small fortune in calls and I wasted many hours repeating the same information again and again, why couldn't they put notes on the system to state my problem I don't know. I don't recommend AOL to anyone, their CS is the worst I have ever come across.
I have been with PIPEX for 3 years now, and initally they were excellent but recently their CS is going down hill, I think the demand on ISP's is huge and they simply cannot cope with the demand from customer calls, they simply need more staff.0 -

I've had a few problems and generally find that if you ask to speak to a supervisor and explain everything to them then they're more than willing to help. It's not the best ISP around but it's certainly not the worst either. This country is called Great Britain. It would be called Amazing Britain if it wasn't for people like you pulling the average down0 -

Perhaps it's changed in the last few years - everytime I tried to use both OE and AOL, it all crashed.
I gave up with the OE and after that, AOL worked fine.

If you have AOL software installed then why would you need OE to retrieve your emails???
I'd suggest ditching the AOL software and using IE instead with OE to get emailsThis country is called Great Britain. It would be called Amazing Britain if it wasn't for people like you pulling the average down0 -
