Would breadsticks/cheesy breadsticks do? They are easy to make and take few ingredients. You could always make a salsa dip if you have the ingredients (I use tomatoes, garlic, onion, chilli, coriander and a squeeze of lime juice with a pinch of salt ). You could easily do a hot one with lots of chilli and a milder one.

thank you!! will take some time to digest it! So as you are shopping on tesco site it states whether its cheaper or do you have to go between the two?

Will be another NSD for me today.

I more meal to put on my 5 week plan and then I will start breaking it down into a meat list, store cupboard list and fresh list.

Think I will need to keep a pen and paper on the fridge to write down anything I run out of as they crop up.

It is going to be Belly Pork for dinner tonight, I think.

How do I make a bread mix last 2 weeks?

Only 4 onions left and a few parsnips in the fresh veg box. 3 apples, 1 orange....powdered milk running out....

I actually managed 2 NSD's in a row, and looking good for a third! Cos I was going to be bold this morning and get a coffee (really need it), and found that my loyalty card for the NICE coffee shop nearest me was full - so I got it free! (I do have to put money into a leaving collection at work though, so it may not last- unless I leave that until tomorrow!! LOL)

DH is coming home for dinner tonight after all, so instead of something small for me from leftovers, I peeled potatoes and carrots and parsnips last night (for mash potato and mashed carrots&partnsips), and got sausages from freezer. There will be leftover spuds, that I'll use to make a smoked fish and brocolli pie for Wed night, as I have invited in 3 ladies from the road for a "glass of wine" (we do it occasionally, and it really means food, wine, gossip and relaxation until the wee hours). DH is now NOT going out either, so he might get more than he bargained for, LOL!.

Otherwise, DH is heading away on Thurs with DD so I will be feeding myself Thurs and Fri, and Sat lunch. Will keep to using up leftovers to make freezer space. I want to go to Mr. D and restock the meats - I've no mince, chicken or chops of any type - and try to reach my €200 spend in the month for the extra €20 voucher in the next mailing (I do have a fair few "stores" type things to get, and Mr D is usually the best for that type of a shop).

morning all nsd for me mince and taties for tea, i'm off to tesco tomorrow with my mum to show her how these vouchers work, i might pick up some suncream and another block of cheese and some vanish while i'm there i also have to pay 3 weeks snack money tomorrow so thats gonna be £12 and it's red nose day so my kids have to wear something silly which i'm abit stuck for ideas about, i was thinking underwear ontop of there clothes?

hi...red nose day my kids have been told to dress as a monster or a pirate .. for a nsp...famo.all good fun...i got them another nose each from mr s as they needed a new one for some reason

we are having fish for tea,,,reduced and i have just made some cookies so hopefully they will be nice...hopingfor a nsd....famous last words

made three weetabix cakes while id got jacket pots in for lunch so a bit of mse there:T

out tonight so late tea but will do veggie lasagne before i go so it just needs warming up once we are back and ill do the kids early tea before we go out so they arent starved
