Well, in my attempt to stick to budget this month (and ensure that as much as possible is saved for our holiday on 1st April), I've decided to move the contents of our half full indoor freezer into our half full outdoor freezer.

I've done this for 2 reasons:

    1) Reduce the energy spend by filling one, rather than having 2 half filled

    2) By having everything in one, the plan is to make sure that I use everything up and minimise my spend for the month - and to finally use stuff up!

ETA - not actualy spent anything from this month's budget as I still have money in my purse from last week - I will probably take the money out on Friday...

NSD today, but going to send off my asd@ order tonight, will update when it comes. Am aiming for about 20 NSds this month, which as I'm staying out of sms (in theory!) should be easily doable. Got enough milk to last til Thurs, and will hope can get delivery for then! If not, have the old UHT stuff lurking ready for just such an eventuality!!

Not feeling great today, as it's dd 6th birthday, but she's with her dad, so I only really saw her this morning before school. Was SOOOO tempted to go and spend spend spend, which is normally how I deal with things, so I was really pleased when I realised I'd left my mobile phone at home, so had to go home for it. Once I was home, I cba to go out again, and now I've had a glass of wine to make sure I can't go out!

Have lots of jobs to do, so will go and start on them - think I will start in the kitchen so I can finally do my meal plan for March. Been trying to do it for about a week now!

    :hello:

Can I be put down for a target of £70 again for March please? Going to try and do better this month, my attention level slipped a bit last month but I got away with it as it turned out. Right, I'm away to catch up with the rest of the thread. It doesn't half move fast!

Hello:) I have been paying attention to spending but haven't been posting much. Did ok for January and February, so could I please be put down for
    £220 for March

    Thank you:)
  • Hello! First spend of the month... £2.92. Made a lovely parsnip & carrot soup for tea as we were given loads of parsnips from a friend. :D Needed some bread to go with it, but all our shops have been out of yeast for about a week now! So, had to get some bread for 92p, and then pick up a dozen eggs for £2. Really trying hard not to pick up any 'treats' every time I walk into a shop!

Hope everyone has a great March!

Just catching up with the thread from the last couple of days...
Made some nut, apricot & choc chip biscuits yesterday and OH said they were great, so I thought I would share.

Really like the sound of these, have printed off the recipe and I am going to try with almonds as I have them in the cupboard.

jammy dodger - sorry to hear about the loss of your cat

I was good today and bought DS formula from b00ts to avoid being tempted buy other goodies in the sm. Resisted a chunky k1t kat and I was starving:A

Didn't manage to resist a small bag of chips from the award winning chippie next to the bank for my dinner though:o DH bought some soup today at work. He said he didn't see the (big green and blue) flask of soup I had put in his bag and thought I had just given him one sandwich!!!!:eek: I know he is on a diet and we need to be careful this month but I am not that mean:rotfl:

I made a quorn sausage quiche for tea tonight using up the last 2 eggs, some grated cheese that has been frozen for ages and made the pastry with some trex that has been lurking in the fridge for months. It was really nice and there is enough left for my lunch tomorrow with some salad.

Sausages again tomorromw (meat ones for DH) but with my favourite redcurrant and mint sauce, mash and green beans.:D

Best go update my signature so I don't lose track.
