Just a thought on the clothes issue, do your kids have particular favourite clothes? If they are old enough you may be able to get them to make sure they pack and bring back their clothes (or at least some of them) if they are ones that they want to wear again.0

At the moment my boys come home on a Sunday night so get changed into school uniform before they leave their dads as otherwise their clothes all migrate to here! Must be a pain for the boys but it does solve the problem.0
