Leaky shower - PRD already replaced??

Hi all,
I'm moving into a house, and am quite partial to a bit of DIY. I said i'd help my friend out (Who owns the house), had a look at the shower and there was cold water leaking from the bottom of the unit when you turn it on. I initially thought the PRD had activated, as the shower head was full of limescale.
I've replaced the PRD as per manufacturers instructions, turned the shower to cold and switched everything back on (without replacing the head back onto the hose). The water is still leaking out!
I opened the unit again (after isolating of course) and noticed that there was alot of water around the stabiliser valve and the solenoid valve? Would either of these, if faulty, cause this sort of problem?
I obviously dont want to turn the shower on without the cover on, as im not a trained plumber (Or sparky), but have some experience in these fields.
The shower is a Triton Opal (mk1). If anyone has any suggestions i would be most grateful
Thanks in advance.
