Quarterly Bill quandary...

I pay my Scottish Power gas bill quarterly. They send me the bill and I pay it without delay. And they have always arrived exactly when they should do - except for this quarter - it's several days late.
My question, therefore, is should I chase them up or just wait until it appears? This has never happened before and I don't know what I should do. If anything. After all, surely it's not my responsibility to have to remind my domestic gas supplier to bill me?
What would you do?

Just wait - they'll send a reminder. If you can sign up for e-mail billing - it often reduces the bill.0

I used to pay this way with SP.
The bill will arrive eventually. Maybe because they use a third party postal service (TNT?) it often took ages to arrive by Royal Mail. Just long enough to ensure you lose your prompt payment discount usually.
Sign up to online billing is what they'll probably say if you complain.
Pay by DD (even if quarterly) is another suggestion they would probably make."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Hi SPARKSWILLFLY
There could be a number of reasons why this quarterly statement has not been received by you. If you are online just drop us an email with your account number and ask that we check when your statement is due. If you provide accurate meter readings as well in the email then we will simply bill your account to the meter readings you povide making sure your statement is accurate.
Premier - Thats a terrible attitude. Don't be like that.

Finally got the bill in. It was an estimate, which probably explains the reason why it didn't come in until now (previous bills have all been based on actual consumption).
And yes, it was a corker given the Winter we've just had.0
