Alton Towers refuse to honour Nectar points

Hi all, this is my first post, sorry it has to be a moaning one.

Don't know if anyone else has had this problem. Went to Alton Towers yesterday (23rd Feb), when I tried to buy a ticket using my Nectar points the 'young lady' in the ticket booth at first didn't know what to do. She phoned someone and then told me they were not accepting Nectar due to some dispute between Alton Towers and Nectar. Strange, I thought, there was nothing on the site this morning. In fact Nectar are advertising double points discount for using them on Alton Towers tickets. Rang Nectar this morning and got the usual 'we are very sorry' and fobbed me off. Rang Alton Towers but couldn't get through to the right department so sent an email instead. Still waiting to hear back.

Would be interested to hear if anyone else has come up against this this week. Or it could just be they didn't like my face!

On a good note, excellent forum, very useful and I enjoy reading all the posts.

Still waiting to hear from Alton Towers!!! Nectar points seem to be a waste of time to me, only got them to take my nephew and nieces to Alton Towers. Bah!
