Lloyds Classic Account

Not sure if this has already been posted - apologies if it has.
I've had a classic account with lloyds for donkeys years and it pays a derisory .10% interest, but have kept it as hubby thinks it's good to have been with your bank a long time if you ever want to borrow money(?!). I transfer most of it each month to other a/cs that pay better rates.
Decided to get internet access to the account and it lets you upgrade to a classic plus (think that's what they call it) which pays 4.00%. You have to pay in £1,000+ per month but there are no monthly charges for operating the account, like there are with their other a/cs. Just thought if anyone else had the same a/c with lloyds and didn't currently have internet banking with them, it may be worth looking at.

Don't hold your breath with that one. It makes no odds whether you've been with them for a long or short time.
It's one of the reasons we closed our Lloyds accounts a few years ago. OH wanted a quick loan to buy a new car, which he'd then repay over a very short period of time. We'd both actually worked for Lloyds and banked with them ( in credit ) for years....and....Nothing! All sorts of hoops and barrels were put in our path to jump through and over.
So we said bye-bye, moved our accounts and OH got the loan he wanted somewhere else and at a better rate too.:cool:0
