Has anyone ever had a lost parcel returned?

I have had a parcel go missing (more to do with the stupid woman at PO typing in wrong postcode  )
I always put my address on back of parcels so by rights surely they should be returned if not delivered.
(Where do all these lost parcels go ,they must go somewhere!!
)
I am giving a full refund as we are now talking about 12 days and i think buyer has waited long enough!!
But from what i can gather when making a claim you do not get the postage back which in this case was about 9.00:eek:
So i would be better off getting item back and trying to resell!IYKWIM

NO.
In 5 years of ebay.. and probably a good 20 or so people saying the item never arrived... Ive never had anything bounce back. to be honest I bet RM dont do it anymore, its a cover up!!0 -
I've had parcels returned that were unclaimed - either the postie didn't leave a card or it got thrown a way with junk mail, after a few weeks the parcel gets sent back. The most recent was from Japan, I posted it in August and it was returned by sea, it arrived this week.
I'd ask your buyer to check the sorting office before you refund0 -
RM have been good enough to return items not collected by the buyer, having shipped several thousand items both on ebay and off, I think only 2 have ever gone missing! The remainder have come back as gone away, or more usually just failed to collect!
The Buyer will no doubt still blame you though....
Good luck with eBay0 -
ive had a few unclaimed parcels come back to me many more than last year! - alot of my buyers claim there was no card left by post man so get them to check at the delivery office
you can even ring royal mail and find out if its at a delivery office if it was sent recorded or sd and they tried to deliver it sometimes they do get there with the wrong postcode on  Democracy is a process by which the people are free to choose the man who will get the blame.:j0 -
I received something back a few weeks ago via Royal Mail, as the person who had ordered something no longer lived there. It makes me wonder what planet they were on when they placed the order.
It was at least a month after I'd sent it too, and the purchaser didn't even come back to me asking where the item was.
Refunded them, relisted it and it actually went for more money on Amazon as the prevailing price had gone up on it!0 -

There IS a fantastic, magical wonderland of a place where they all end up (if unclaimed). Tomb Street Sorting Office in Belfast deals with ALL Royal Mail lost and unclaimed parcels for UK delivery. Chances are that if a parcel was uncollected, it's sitting there.
Mind you, I only live 5 miles from it, and I know there are still some of mine sitting in there. According to one employee, there is such a mountain of stuff, it's unlikely they'd be able to find anything though, so although you now know where it may be, it's unlikely you'll get it back :rolleyes:0 -

I've had a lost parcel that was sent registered that never arrived, was given compo by the PO no problem, had one that was undelivered without my address on it come back once, took a while though. Once had someone send me something special delivery, never arrived but they got it back 3 days later?!?!2p off is still 2p off!0

 Me neither - in the few years I have been doing ebay, I have never had a parcel returned.

My father has had several returned, one from Italy which came back rather tattered about 9 months after posting. There is hope if you put a sender address on that is0
