Egg PPI

Hi,

Just needed some advice on Egg really.

I had three loans with Egg so originally I decided to use a reclaim company-(Ismart) after looking into the company I decided not to go ahead with using them and I was lucky enough not to sign the form giving them authority to my accounts.

I have recently been in contact with Egg asking them for my records as I do not have a copy anymore.

I haven't received my documents so I contacted an agent who has said that even if i had my records there would be no evidence of my PPI on this and all it would say is that i have agreed to the loan.

He said that my case is being looked at. I haven't as yet filled out the questionnaire that is provided on this wed site because I don't have my records.

I'm not sure what they are telling me? surely I need my records so that I can fill in the questionnaire and start my complaint?
How can my complaint become being looked at when all i have done is asked for records?

Unless the reclaims company have already done this for me, which I dont see how as I didn't sign the financial omnibus form??

Hi there

As long as you know you were mis sold PPI and that it was added to the loan, and have the account number you can still continue to make a reclaim.
However, having paperwork does help, and for this you can request a Subject access request (SAR), its your rights to your accounts data over the last 6 years, there is a letter template for this below link and you enclose £10 cheque or postal order.

Tweak to your requirements if you want to, and they have 40 calendar days to comply.

Thanks for the reply. I was just about to send them the letter that you gave me from the link. (As i had sent them a previous letter asking for my details and wasn't sure if they had recived it. When i got a letter in the post from Egg this morning for each loan that I have had.They have said that my accounts are now closed and under the consumer credit act they nolonger have a contractual realationship relating to the accounts so they do not have to provide the information that I request. What should i do next? I know for a fact that I was miss sold PPI i can remember the conversation that I had with the girl over the phone.

I would therefore still continue to make a reclaim, just as long as you have the account number, and your reasons.;)

Just wanted to clarfiy should I still ask for a SAR or go straight to the PPI consumer questionaire?

You dont need a sar if you have the account number(s) just fill the form in and send it recorded, good luck.
