    They should investigate, but I don't know how much importance they will give it.

    Yes, I think so - it is their job to investigate crime!

    First contact the credit reference agency and get markers placed against the defaults stating that these are contested and ask the credit reference company to remove them as you are not the debtor in question. It might not be identity theft but simply a creditor placing the debt against the wrong Mr Joe Bloggs - it happens. You asking the credit reference agencies to remove them as they are incorrect will start an investigation into the validity of the claim.

    I think credit report company will remove all defaults as they did not done by me in fact.
