ipod - how do we get onto the appstore?

Very techie stuff for me now.

Daughter got an ipod and want to go into app store. Anybody have any idea how we go about it.

Any help would be great

If it's an ipod touch then there's a button on the home screen that says app store. If it's anything other than an ipod touch then you can't.

Obviously you need to connect it to your wi-fi first.

thanks, but how do we connect to the wi fi. not sure if we have one

Do you have a wireless router?

If yes then you have wi-fi if not then you probably don't.

Is it an ipod touch?

we definately have a wireless router

and yeap it is a ipod touch.....

If you do have wireless internet you go to settings->wi-fi on your ipod and turn it on. It should then give a list of all the wifi stations it can find locally. If yours is there select it and if necessary enter the password. That should be all you need to do.

You can also download itunes to your computer and access the store from there.

It may be on a sticker somewhere on your router, look for WPA or WEP.

If not you can usually find it in router configuration. Open command prompt and type
ipconfig /all

note the number next to default gateway. It will be similar to 192.168.1.1

Then open web browser and type that into address bar

Log into router with username and pass and look for wifi settings
