Hi, Everytime i log into PayPal it asks me for my full credit card number.
it says that they are carrying out regular secrity maintenance of their security measures and that my account has been randomly selected.
i haven't done it because i assumed they would already have my card number and they wouldn't ask for it.
i also recieved an email saying they had limited my account and i needed to change my security questions and password, it didn't have any links or anything on it though.
i have made sure that the website address is correct it even has the green security bar with the padlock on it.
thoughts?
thanks.

Did the email address you by name or by Dear Paypal Member/User if it wasnt by name then its a phishing email.0

Do NOT call them, somebody can listen to your phone line as it is not encrypted
I didn't mean call them and give them all your private details over the phone.
I emant call them to check it's correct.
If you are going direct to the website and not via email links then it's probably ok, but I would check over the phone first.0 -
Do NOT call them, somebody can listen to your phone line as it is not encrypted, you must go to their head office ONLY!!!

So we're all supposed to travel half way across the country when we have a query regarding our PayPal account?
This isn't some James Bond movie, no one is listening to our calls. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I think the comment was sarcastic.0

They want you to believe that they are not listening! :rotfl:
But if the person who has already "logged into PayPal" and who has already “made sure that the website address is correct it even has the green security bar with the padlock on it” is still NOT satisfied with the security provided I can’t imagine that what else can be done apart from going to the head office.0 -

I'm sorry I take the intellect for granted, I will make an exception for you. :beer:0
