It sounds as if it is a Window Media Video file. It should be written next to the file. If not, click on the file with the right hand side of the mouse and then choose 'properties'.
Let us know the type of file/size etc.

Nero should burn it to dvd for you.

Open nero, choose Make your own DVD video and then simple add the file and follow the wizard

No, no, no... It won't be converted to a file that plays on a DVD player

If it's an ISO file then it doesn't need converting, it is ready to be burned to the dvd, i.e. the conversion process has already taken place.

Therefore, open Nero, close the wizard if it opens, go to the Recorder menu at top and select Burn Image, select the ISO file and burn

I know this is probably a stupid question, but have you got a DVD writer on your pc? I spent ages trying to burn on my laptop before realising it was a CD writer and DVD Rom - so I had to go and buy an external DVD writer (DOH!!) - but, that is probably just me :o

I use ConvertXtoDVD for AVI files etc... Can ISO's just be burned straight away then? That's useful to know.

Anyway - he shouldn't be watching Fireman Sam, that Norman Price is such a bad influence!! ;)

As far as I know the ISO format is basically a disc "image" so can be burned as is, as it's the form it would take on the disk bitwise.
