We need to purchase french doors 1790 wide, but we are puzzled by choice available
Has anyone had the La Porte Oak Range fitted
http://www.leaderdoors.co.uk/external-doors-1/french-folding-sliding-4/la-porte-oak-french-2786.htm
Dont really want to go the route of UPVC, although realise oak will need maintenance
Magnet seem to also supply Oak French doors, but only to the trade.
Any advice or reviews?

I fitted those exact doors a couple of years ago to my flat. Got them for £475 from Focus DIY when they had 25% off sale.
I gave them 5 coats of uv varnish before I got them fitted.
They are engineered oak and really good quality.
They look exactly the same now as the day I fitted them.0 -
Ive just installed a set (same width) from B&Q Premium Timber Range, you can view them online; oak veenered lovely doors; very heavy. I actually bought them from ebay as the seller had ordered the wrong size and b&q won't take returns on doors.
They have made a huge difference to heat retention in the living room as the new panels are 22mm argon filled with very low E values.
Hope this helps a bit."Didn't I try to Warn them I said !"

seem to be more expensive than the oak La Porte range..not sure if this is a case of "you get what you pay for"
Ionkontrol...are the La Porte ones already assembled when you buy them? Seems the ones from B&Q arrive in kit form for self assembly before installation?0 -
They arrive as 2 complete doors with the frame as a kit (you decided on site if you want the left or right door opening first).0
