Hi, does anyone know WHEN the SLC set the monthly gross income threshold for deciding whether you can defer repayment? Is it at the end/start of the financial year?
The figure which is published at the moment is £2204, just wanted to know when this will be reviewed.
many thanks

The repayment threshold will be announced the same time as the interest rate. The rate is usually announced prior to September. All pre 1998 loans are re-scheduled around the same time.0

Does anyone know how the £2204 is calculated exactly? Last year's 2010 threshold was £2254. What king of rpi / cpi figures do they use?I can't believe it's been lowered.0

It is based on the uk average salary. Due to the recession, the average salary has fallen there student loan repayment threshold will reflect this.0
