Winding up petition heard today.

Hi can anyone help,
Found out my employer has had a winding up petition which was heard at High Court this morning. Does anyone know where I can find out what happened - he's not the type of boss to tell us in advance.
I've looked on London Gazette & Companies House, but obviously these take a while to update.
Thanks !

  • Contact the high court - it will take a couple of days for the Official Receiver local to where you are to be notified by the OR in london - usually on a Thursday or a Friday. If the company is still trading they will normally come out the same day they are notified and close you down.

Co's house and London Gazette get updated by the local OR after they are told but again takes short while. If you want to know quicker - you could phone your local OR and let them know a trading company may have been wound up - they may contact the OR in London and push through the transfer quicker.
