Is it a front or rear wheel?
Ideally you want the front wheels the to be the same size.


Unless you can get the wheel to a tyre place, then you don't seem to have any choice in the matter.

You need to get another spare wheel.
The spare in your car is 15 inch in diameter.
The ones on the car are 14 inches in diameter.

so you need to get one 14 wheel to match the rest, or 4 x 15inch wheels to match the spare.

It's a front wheel. Hopefully I'll be able to borrow the car tomorrow and just take the wheel. Pain in the neck!

Well, it's not a big problem in the scheme of things.

195 x 50 R14 = 1729.76mm circumference

175 x 70 x R15 = 1966.64mm circumference

Hmmmm, thats some 13% difference....

The weird thing here is the spare is a 15inch wheel!!!

Is the OP sure they haven't mixed up the wheel diameters? 14/15?





Also im sure 195/50/R14 isn't a standard tyre size on the Corsa, the only 195 was the in 16inch wheel on the "sports" models and this was a 195/55/R16.

(spare tyre still looks bigger than car tyres to me, is the 70 the depth of the wheel?) Wasn't very space saving, could hardly prise it out of the boot.

^^ In that case the circumference works out much the same, within around 70mm.

The depth of the tire works out to be 70% of 175 and 50% of 195, respectively. So the spare may look "thicker".

If the figures you give are correct then it should be fine, but be aware that a space saver wheel normally rated for driving at 40mph maximum.... Which doesn't seem to be a problem for average speed drivers, lol!
