Halifax Standing Order Problem?

Don't actually know if this is a problem, but i have 2 standing orders set up and they are due to go out of my account today.
One standing order has been ongoing for months no problem the other will be it's first transfer but for some reason none of them have moved.
Normally i would not look as one goes into a savings account but the new standing order i need in the correct bank account today as i want to also spend it today(long story).
My question is how long does a standing order take to go out of my account i.e if it's set for the 23rd will go out 12am or later in the afternoon and when should it show in the other account?
P.S all standing orders are to and from Halifax accounts(my own or husbands)
Hope you can help.

hi,
I would've thought you could check previous transfer dates out of one acct and into another to answer your own question...Friendly greeting!0 -
Yes, i did do that but thought it may be like the £5 reward that gets done sometimes on the 2nd but gets backdated to the 1st.
I think i may have found the answer though.
Could it be that because a payment was being made into the account on the 23rd and until then there was not enough money in the account and they have tried to pay the standing orders before processing the credit?0 -

More than likely. You need funds / overdraft space in the account before they will process the SO - which they will have attempted last night. You can't rely on the order of processing.
Incidentally it's not an SO if it's between Halifax accounts - it's treated as an internal transfer. Therefore works at weekends as well - whereas SOs don't.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Mine haven't worked today, i'm guessing there is a system problem.0
