Why don't disabled people use disabled toilets

    Still sad.
  • Maybe he only needed a number 1 ?
  • My husband wouldn't use the disabled toilet either.
Reason - he would be stopping someone who needs the extra space (for a wheelchair - perhaps?), being able to access it for the (extended) length of time he would be tying the (one - generally) toilet up!
He has a blue badge, and finds walking very painful, and the distance he can walk is often very limited, but he wouldn't require the extra space a wheelchair user would.
When using the 'normal' toilet facilities, it doesn't matter if he has difficulties, and its a time consuming process, as there are several cubicles available, so he wouldn't be tying up the only one!
However, he generally avoids using toilets when we are out, since should he run into problems, there is no way I would enter the gents to assist him (and he wouldn't allow me to - even in the disabled loos!)
Like most disabled people of my acquaintance, he just wants to be left alone, to get on with his life, as best he can. without disrupting other people's lives, without judging other people!
Its a shame he can't do so without others (like the OP), constantly judging him, and expecting him to justify himself to them (when really it is no-one else's business, apart from his!)
