I have just realised that I haven't just been unfocused and weebly, but that I am clearly fighting a cold*, so I'm taking Vit C and the other bits, and have decided to concentrate on wrapping presents today.

That will clear space, which is bound to re-focus my brain, isn't it?

    * the first clue was not feeling like a glass of red last night....how ill is that?

    Hi there busy ones!

I'm here asking for advice today. I joined flylady a few weeks ago and had a wonderful first week. Everything got up together very quickly and I felt much more organised. However, I went on holiday for a week and then on return had a bad back, kids and hubbie of sick with flu and now a cold myself. I am also trying to lose a few extra pounds before Christmas and am probably focusing more on making sure I don't eat than on the house.

I know if I can only focus again I will be fine and so much happier and exilerated but am wondering how is best to get back. Should I unsubscribe and then join again or what do you suggest. I am away again next weekend at center parcs and so much at School and all the exra Xmas preps that this is a critical time as I sure you are all aware.

Can't wait to join you guys proper!

Not doing too badly. Still got to sort out dry washing, hang up towels, wash up after dinner (am cooking it at the moment) and spend 15 minutes tidying spare room (it will take a lot longer than that, but I am going to do 15 minutes per day to try and break the back of it).

Edit - just got my 15 mins in the spare room to do now. And even better have finally got Hubby to phone his Mum and get his family's addresses so I can write and send their Christmas cards as well. Doing stuff that is not even on my list now!!

    Update:

Sort business finances!!! This is a must. First month in new business and having to do accounts from home and it's all gone to pot! Must get myself organised and into a system! Cannot put this off! Did put it off. It's not done. Went Christmas and birthday shopping instead!

Anything else is secondary ~ but will possibly:
Do a little bit of birthday and Christmas shopping; Nearly finished!
Some laundry; None done yet, but will put some through tonight.
Also have DS school leaving evening starting at 6pm. Will hop in the shower and spruce myself up very soon :)

Also got Christmas tree fully decorated, entrance decorations done too.

Hi, s-to-d! I felt very much like this when I started, I didn't bother unsubscribing. I've found the support here to be just as useful as the FL site itself.

    1. Do you have clutter? I did, and found the only way through was to get rid (Freecycle mainly). You can't tidy clutter, just move it around! :rotfl: :rotfl:

    2. Baby steps. When I'm feeling demotivated, I put my timer on and do three 15min slots. I then have a 15min break, with a coffee. Amazing what you can get done when you only have 15mins. :j

    3. Notebook and pencil - keep it on your person. If you see a task that needs doing, don't get distracted, write it in your book, then plan it in. This is especially useful for things that children and DH need to do :D

    4. Basket - I have a small wicker one that is always at my side. I put anything that doesn't belong in the room that I'm doing into it. When it's full I use a 15min slot to put away. This is a great job to get the children doing.

Hi, Denise, is your DS leaving school this time? Is NZ similar to Aus - school year from Jan to Dec?

How was the evening - I always blubb at those events, even if it's not mine leaving!

    Enough chat, where's my list..................
